# 62 Thinking with the wrong head, right into a scam.
This is sad story of a Tourist thinking with the wrong head while on vacation in Cancun. This guy came by the Museo and was all beat up. His pants were ripped, bruses and blood on his face. He has a Porsche in California and wanted to see my collection and also tell his story to someone. At first I didn't let him in, after talking to him for a while, I open the gate.
He took the ferry in the morning to Isla Mujeres to spend the day. The ferry is a ten minute ride or so from downtown Cancun and is surrounded by little fishing villages. When he return to Pto Juarez that afternoon, he walking outside the entrance to the Ferry area where he would pick up a bus to downtown Cancun. On the corner their was a hot young girl who got his eye and said "Do you want to have some fun, I live right around the corner", I have some grass and coke, we could have a good time. Off he goes, right into the scam. He's in her little room smoking grass, nothing else is going on,when a few guys walk in and accuse him of screwing around with their Sister. Then, they start beating up on him, which was an how these guys make a living, they threw him out in the street minus his cash and watch. He said that he had $300 American Dollars with him which they took.
This is not the first time that I heard the story about the area around the Ferry being dangerous, but it was the first time that I actually met a guy who got nailed in the scam.
